More Pen Tool

It looks like my old friend is back ;)
Today I learned how to use the pen tool even more! I used the rubber band tool today. This tool makes it so the line follows your mouse and generally just makes the pen tool easer. This was a cool thing to learn and I know I will be using it again ;D

The World Would be a Better Place If...

In photoshop we were given the prompt: The World Would be a Better Place If...

I believe that the world would be a better place if we break out of the glass bubble society has trapped us in. The stereotypes of our world influence how we dress, act, think; they define our very selves. We believe that we are so perfect; that we can do nothing wrong. We act like the world revolves around ourselves and take little notice to what is around us. We see stories in the news of terrorist attacking our capitols and of children committing suicide. I see the suffering in schools and at home; I see the pain in the eyes of people around me. The new normal is this darkness, this dark abyss of suffering. I believe that we can break free from that though. I believe that the human race can show each other some kindness. I believe that the small act of kindness will help chip away the glass and that someday we will all be free of the pain. If we break free of the stereotypes, maybe we can make the world a better place. I believe that if we have the courage to free ourselves from the bubble of darkness we will see a beautiful world of kindness and joy.
The world will be a better place if we break from this glass bubble society had trapped us in.

Pen Tool

So today I got to use the pen tool! not a pen that you write with but a tool in photoshop that you use to create lines and curves. I know that in the past I used this tool once before but today I got a reminder on a few things and I got to learn some new tricks! I was able to learn how to make curves better and I learned more about how to stroke (make a border) and fill the inside. I also learned about paths and how to make my line a layer. So cool!

Climbing Assignment :D

This is super cool! Have you ever seen pictures of people in places (ex. Boxes, Food, Tools, Ect.) Well today I was able to make one! I got to practice using the magic wand tool and the marquee tool to crop the person. After I did all that I got to pose her onto the apple and I faded the edges just enough so that it looks amazing :D
This was so much fun and you should DEFINITELY try it!! ;D

Color Change!

Ok, this is really cool! Today I learned how to change the color of an eye and hair of a person! Using the marquee tool I was able to select the area of the picture that I wanted and then I used the pain bucket tool to fill that area with a color. After that I was able to pick my preference so that it blended with the image. This was so much fun and super cool!

blemish

Have you ever taken a picture and when you see it you see the horrific site of your face breaking out? And now your perfect picture just looks bad D:
well, today I learned how to fix that! Using the healing brush tool and the spot healing brush tool :D With these tools i am able to make the annoying blemishes disappear  The tool picks a spot on the picture (or you use the clone tool and do it yourself) and the area you (or the computer) pics merges with the pixels on the area you want and then magic happens! All of thoughts annoying spots are gone ;) This is super cool and SOOOOO helpful!

Trick or Treat on Unicorn Street Poster

Come Trick or Treat on Unicorn Street! This poster is going into a contest and the best ones will be put up around my school :D
I learned how to take my images from my iPad and re-sized them so they fit the size requirement (man, that was annoying ;)) I used a LOT of layers and got to experiment more with the line tool to see what it did (lines on houses) I learned how to make a line different widths, which is very helpful to know. I worked on my drawing skills and drew every picture you see (PHOTO CREDIT TO EMMALEE FOR THE TREE! THAT WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WASNT MINE!) Since the poster is for my school I just HAD to put a unicorn in there ;)
I love this project and i'm very proud with how it turned out ^w^
Enjoy and eat candy!!!

My Passion

Today we needed to use the Gradient tool to build a collage for what we are passionate about. I am passionate about my friends, photography, photoshop, music, writing, and art. I use my passion to express my feelings and faith. I believe that doing what you love is one of the best things in the world.
Using the gradient tool, I put pictures together into something beautiful and filled with meaning. It is truly amazing what you can to :D
